I think im gonna bow out of this one and move on to other leads.

The VA home will compound its appreciation and because it is experiencing RE appreciation greater than inflation the rent will go up. 

Literally, every housing "compound" is a group of 10-15 buildings that consist of around 30 stories condos.

Then, because that wasn't enough, they basically started betting on them and that compounded the problem.

I like;Broken windows, chipped paint, old carpet, dated bathrooms and kitchens, really low rent,  lots of trash,back taxesI don't like;Bowing basement walls, a roof that looks like a shaggy carpet, tilting houses, single pane windows, missing copper, missing wires, weird layouts, houses next to railroad tracks 

Are we better off leveraging these funds to start our real estate venture immediately on a solid footing, assuming that in the long run (10, 15, 25 years) we will be able to compound and leverage our gains to build wealth far faster than we would waiting 5 years to save for an adequate down payment for our first property? 

I would say that the pattern is it takes up to 2 weeks for things to happen, and it all compounds, esp when dealing with vacant units. 

My first few commissions will earn me the ability to cut a full day out of my week to devote to RE which will compound into me earning more time for RE.
