As luxury vacation short-term rental hosts, has anyone faced a similar situation or have suggestions on how to proceed?  

Our firm is based out of Beaufort, SC and we host a monthly Real Estate Investor Network. 

I host remotely too, and when I bought the house, I went through it and made a list of everything that needed attention or was close to wearing out. 

You have to just commit to doing the lead generation 5-6 days a week (social posts, door knocking, talk to people you know, talk to people you don't know, host open houses for agents in your office, drive for FSBO's, etc) until you have planted so many "seeds" that they result in business. 

How to set up video conference with grandparents in assisted living, and a host of other questions they might have. 

And I know that the tourism infrastructure (restaurants , activities) has some catching up to do aside from the new casino that is opening up.

Or may just be nosey, or want to be hosts but have no money.  

(Keypad lock, thermostat, etc) I have ring at my own personal home, I know of another Host who uses Google Nest. 

If  you are in the 20% range, you are better off going to the casino and putting all of your money on black and seeing what happnes.Since you are out of the area properly calculating cash on cash returns can be difficult because you have variable expenses to calculate. 

Any advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated1) In the Short-Term Rental Ordinance (Baileys harbor), I found the following:“If the rental of a Residential Dwelling is less than seven (7) consecutive days, the first dayof a subsequent rental of less than seven (7) consecutive days may not begin until the sixth(6th) day after the first (1st) day of the immediately preceding rental.”Question --> Does this mean that we cannot host another guest within the same week if the first guest's stay was less than seven days?
