I’m in the process of searching for land in the Houston area to then build a 4-plex on it.The plan is to self-fund the purchase & construction, rent the units and cash out with a mortage.I like the idea of serving lower income families and therefore don’t shy away from section 8.This is the first time I do something like this, so I’m throwing it out there in hopes of hearing your thoughts and learning from your experience!

Do you serve Jersey City? 

According to the water meter, approximately 1 days after being served the court summons for eviction, the tenant turned on all of the faucets in the home and ran them for about 55 days.

Even if summons is served at the address noone is there to sign it or receive it when a server tries to serve it. how does it work if server cant reach the defendant.

@Nicholas L., I truly would be interested in giving STR a shot but I do worry about being far away from it as well as new regulations being put into place (like here where we live they are in the process of pretty much eliminating any STRs completely).
