I've spoken with several lawyers on this, but I know everyone's mileage varies on this topic.I don't see why having my name on the debt note would imply co-mingling of funds. 

This implies buying costs more than renting in terms of cash flow.

He seemed to be implying they might as well have that on them or available to "pay to stay".

I'm confused, are you saying you paid the $4000 or are u implying that someone else did?

This might have been implied somewhere but how heavily did you weight "rent %"?

This implies you will at least initially lose money. 

Consider investing in RE stocks and buy in when the public trading value of the RE implies a big discount to the prevailing private market values of such RE. 

In my mind, "fastened" implies some type of screw or nail.
