The likely cause is too much chlorine or other chemicals fom the water treatment plant. 

Can you compromise by planting flowers and using mulch rather than sod?

Son works at a truck trailer plant as a mounter making $2000/mo (not verified yet) but has only been there for a month. 

Not to nit-pick the house but to connect with them somewhat on why they want to sell the house and also to subtlely plant seeds to let them know they aren't going to get a retail price for the property.

Plus about two dozen plants growing in a bedroom with the windows painted black.Cops told me it probably wouldn't have been long before some really bad guys kicked in the door, stole all the dope and money, and maybe shot some people.

:) I can look back and laugh now but it sure wasnt funny looking at all the vent work being rerouted to shelves of pot plants and paint on the walls ruined by the humidity.

With so many flooring options available (hardwood, laminate flooring, ceramic tile, ceramic tile that looks like wood, vinyl plant flooring,.....and the list goes on and on and on...I'm all ears....like I said which came first the chicken or the egg.
