In many countries, Engineering is the highest paid profession, and this trend is not as common.

But, I agree that we should all work towards avoiding being bullheaded and clumsy in how we collaborate and honor the profession we share, no matter what team we play for.

Naturally, in higher income professions, where one is you making over $100/hour in your day job, you start to wonder if the struggle to make an extra $100-300/month per door as a landlord is really worth the headache and time invested.

I remember reading a quote, not sure who made it but it works for any profession.  

I am an industry analyst by profession and am closely tracking the macros.

The truth is, unless you are entering a technical profession, it's unlikely anyone you sell a property to would care at all about whether or not you went to college. 

But that's a hell of a lot of money to give up for a person like me.3) My previous profession was a highly paid programmer.
