LOLThe LOL is because you've never known a system that doesn't misuse SSN's in that way.In the UK banks and insurance companies never ask for and don't know a customers SSN equivalent (national insurance number)...... neither is it necessary for a credit check.

also how could it be made legal, if possible somehow, to include in a month to month written lease, that reduction of income by 50% or greater and/or loss of income for more than 2 weeks must be communicated to owner in writing and either such event understood as the equivalent to a 30-60 days advance notice of moving out (to hopefully a cheaper apartment for their new lower income situation)?

If you put 360 in the "n" spot for 360 months, the interest rate that was quoted to you in the interest per year (i/yr) spot and put the amount that would be equivalent to 33 or 34 percent of your monthly income in the payment (PMT) spot, then, by tapping the PV (present value) button, it should tell you an approximate amount that you should be approvable for.
