The common denominator for ALL of these neighborhoods is reliable public transportation and the ability to obtain food/drink/entertainment/groceries without getting in a car.  

Is he the only one working at site and is working half the day and spend time drinking the other half?

After classes the mentors and others join at a restaurant have drinks and ask/ talk about anything you want.

True mentors who are not looking necessarily to make money out of me, but rather make money with me.Willing to start by offering some drinks at your favorite bar in Austin, TX or Restaurant for dinner.

At least in Vegas they give you a fun environment and free drinks as they rip you off.

If it seems they want to put in the effort required to make it work, we invite them to our networking meetup, and maybe meet one on one for lunch or drinks if appropriate.
