Edward and the others are correct, this is not an eviction, they cannot deny access to the unit , if they want to be present that is fine , they CAN stand OUTSIDE the door if they don't trust the workers , but they cannot deny entry to you or the workers . for the other people following this, not from Seattle, it's ready to snow in Seattle tonight , and temps tomorrow are going to be in the low 30's , so if they want to hang around outside , LET THEM .

Having the remote thermostat installed is easy if you aren't a DIY person...But what's the legality of having the LL control the temp of the unit?

That is a positive.I see no signage indicating it's apartments, no tombstone sign, no building signs. no NOW RENTING banners, no flags at the curb indicating Now Renting, (no unit being used as a temp rental office where you can sit all business day--you have 100% vacancy--12 units!!!)

AC's can only reduce the temp by around 20 degrees from ambient.
