Why will that co-beneficiary have to suffer a loss due to the acts of someone else?

I know I suffered from it .. and my wife one time calls crying she only has 10 miles in the battery and is 20 miles from home

Though this is not a recommendation, the owner of a house with acreage or a large yard could do the same in order to  renting out their investment house -and by living anywhere on the property they would not be likely to suffer adverse actions by claiming the Solar Tax Credit. 

You talk of suffering for another 40 years, though with some sound budgeting I imagine you could create huge wealth in 10 years simply through saving.

What's the punishment and who suffers the consequence, the LL or the tenant??

I would not sell a cash flowing asset property especially in a downturn economy  .ita true liquidity will suffer but I don’t plan to sell or maybe not even finance so they’d okay too .

Anybody can suffer divorce, death in the family, lay off, etc, better tenants find better ways of getting through this.
