The city doesn’t require us to have two water meters but we’d like to track it some way so we can charge tenants based on their usage if possible instead of a50/50 split.

We have individual meters on each house to track the water usage and make sure there aren't any leaks.Water and trash are included in the rent.

I’m thinking about having main tenants (top two floors) pay all utilities and reimburse them for half every month to offset basement usage.
