Cardone has done nothing at all to be considered a fraud or a Ponzi scheme. 

Think about how each form, topic, disclosure, etc. fits into the overall scheme of you protecting your client and the public in a real estate transaction.Read outside sources on topics you still don't understand.

I met a local investor that caught my attention and got me involved, too bad it ended up being a pyramid scheme trying to sell real estate education blah blah blah.

While the probably of being ripped off in Mexico as a foreigner is probably higher than in some other countries, it’s still low in the grand scheme of things.As sad as your story is, my point with it was that, in my personal opinion, it’s not right to suggest to others to not invest in Mexico because of what happened to you.

I use a very appealing two-tone paint scheme in all of my rentals, and they are always perfectly painted/clean with no holes in the wall when the tenant first sees it and agrees to rent it and also when they move-in. 

It screams of someone who schemes.  

I really want to live in Europe again and have been eyeing Golden Visa schemes where if you buy a certain value of real estate a country will give you a renewable residence visa.  

I have no "issues" with those buying from brokers, they need to eat too, or out of group pyramid schemes (if you're on the top side of the chains), but buying from the note holder will be your best pricing, easier due diligence with individual note holders and therefore, less risks.
