So $5-10k over next best with an FHA/VA may even be the case at lower price points since the seller will be out a thousand on most of these loans for termite spraying, and another thousand in miscellaneous repairs.What else can lend weight to your offer?

I've had two people in the business of jacking up houses say that they don't recommend it because the weight of the house will crumble the stone foundation and it will likely damage the bricks.
