When I lived at Silverado CC in Napa Valley the resort relies on the private owner condo's as there over night accommodation's so folks buy those and they are run like a hotel.. and again its usually break even at best.. however  about every 5 years to stay in the hotel program they require you to completely update your condo.. new furniture beds etc etc.
