However, these programs apparently did play a roll in bringing money into {primarily} Vancouver and Toronto which has helped to fuel the ridiculous real estate prices.  

That would have been easy to repair… Instead they took every wire they could get their hands on… They even took out all the wall switches and plugs and clipped the wires back into the walls as far as they could reach… Stole every breaker, clipped all the wires in the breaker box down to nubs…And you wont believe this… They scaled the power pole, and took the 50-foot main line that ran from the pole to my house!

Make sure you have your spending habits in check before you add more fuel to the fire.

My next thought would be to build a pole barn that could store 6-8 RVs or boats.

If you have a long relationship with them and this is a one off deal see if they will do the inspection and you can pay for fuel and commute time.  

Many investors wouldn't touch these few streets with a 10 foot pole but I see opportunity in those vacant homes, there are so many that I think I could get a pretty big profit from them with either buy and holding or flipping them to buy and hold investors.

I've read, watched, and heard from so many why you should start with wholesaling and why you shouldn't touch it with a 60 foot pole.

Do nothing and hopefully avoid adding fuel to the flame4.
