I know they have hit some snags of late, but they still plan to do quite a bit to make Fort Worth into a destination.

Re-invest it, take a cruise, buy a car. 

My 10-year goal is to own and operate 2-4 short-term rentals in lake-based vacation destinations and provide add-on hospitality services to further my mission and cash flow.

However, Towson is more of a residential area than a tourist destination, although it is only 20-30 minutes from downtown Baltimore.  

Michigan has two main types of STR's:1) Vacation destinations - mostly Lake Michigan coast, but also some Lake Huron and Lake Superior2) Everything else - we know investors with STR's near hospitals, businesses, etc that are doing fairly well.

It is a journey not a destination that offers significant opportunity if you are careful and thoughtful.

Recently I've turned my attention to homes in towns that surround traditional popular destinations hoping to get in where the average home goes for a little less.

Bigger is only better if the destination warrants it.
