I quit making loans and selling RE and concentrated on this niche for 9 years and got pretty cashed up... it was great we worked hard for 6 months then basically took 6 months off my partner went to Hawaii and I stay in the Napa valley.Now Redwood that's a whole nother kettle of fish I have seen old growth Redwood stands have  2 and 3 million board feet on 10 acres... its incredible really..

Again, some interesting thought but no concrete evidence that the buying is better at one end or the other.I will say this - it is MUCH easier to fish in the Absentee Pond than the Owner Occupied Pond.
