-Find a stellar lender who understands everything about the VA entitlements and how to maximize and scale using it.

With your experience and possible skillset, perhaps finding a company to sponsor you for a green card may be a better option? 

I think you need to find a good local agent, network with investors(local meet ups, FB groups, etc) and learn more to dial in the gameplan. 

In my search, I've noticed that many positions require proficiency in Yardi.I've been actively looking for effective ways to learn Yardi, but it seems challenging to find suitable training or courses online.

You just need to find the deal.
