Since you’re a teenager, work part time or build a small business like selling shoes, snacks, mowing lawns, work on cars, etc. and save as much money as you can. 20% minimum of your earnings and put it in and account you will not touch so when you’re 18 you can buy a property in cash if you wanted to.

Set a limit for groceries (you'd be surprised how much you can save over time) and don't include "extras" like soda, snacks, packaged meals, etc.

There were tables in all romms with coffee, tea, water, morning donuts, afternoon snacks, so we were always fed.Happy hour was about 5:30 to 7:00 or whenever, no booze provided, but soft drinks were (cash bar) Vendors were welcome and were in the lobby and designated areas.

Get up about 5 AM, have coffee, read BP, post on BP, use the phone, post on BP, eat breakfast, read BP, play with the dog,  use the phone, post on BP, use the phone, go out for lunch, read BP and post, talk to humans, tell them I'm busy on BP, use the phone, talk to other humans, post on BP, go home, post on BP, leave the house, meet humans, stop by the club or watering hole, (2 beers a day keeps my proctologist away) have dinner, speak to more humans, go home, read BP and post, sometimes entertain humans, watch the news or a movie while reading BP, may use the phone, might have a snack,  go to bed about 10PM, go to sleep and post on BP.

I've learned all the same lessons you did today a few years back but I also like to keep some type of allergy friendly snack and candy or gum with me.... lesson learned from being in a car with someone who had bad breath.....
