I only do not have an appetite to rent to a lawyer.But I would rent mine to soldiers/police , an illegal immigrant, and anyone that could not speak English.

They are usually good in ensuring that the soldier pays their bills.

I think the "warning" of military is in part due to the Soldiers and Sailors Civil Relief Act, basically active duty members have benefits of federal protection due to their military status.

I just bought a duplex here and I'm in the process of doing the rehab now and I am military so I can speak pretty well to what soldiers will and won't be willing to live in if that's your target market.

Their lease with Soldier Field is through 2033 and the earliest they can break it is 2026 with a $84 million fine. 

Because this way the whole family (mom, dad, sissy, brother, aunts, uncles, and grandparents) can all come see Private Smith graduate and become an official Soldier in the Army for a $300 per night vs. paying for 6 hotel rooms @$120 per night. 

And the families, the fathers like ME, who live the active-duty lives to support our soldiers on mission, to secure these freedoms and liberties far-FAR too many take for granted. 

I contacted my realtor (fellow soldier that I deployed with in 2011) and we made a contract and submitted.

OUR GOAL is to rent this out to soldiers in the area to gain cashflow - we are both veterans and we have established connections with housing on base.
