IMHO critical to this thread is the simple fact ALL MARKETS ARE LOCAL and drill down even further all pockets / neighborhoods are local in all markets.

If they are both condos, knowing what the monthly fees will be along with the reserves and how well they are run is critical.

It is critical to realize different markets have different traits.  

Milwaukee is an interesting market (I've been investing here for 15 years) but with 1.6 million people in the metro area and neighborhoods famously changing block-by-block, location is critical.
