I really enjoy the TBP but I found a UK based equivalent to them : The Property Hub http://thepropertyhub.net/forum/search/They have property meet ups all across the UK but not one yet in Ireland so you can start one yourself!

Country town, nice homes, big lakes, very affordable housing, taxes and such, just more small town, if that's your style.Going north up the dial (think of Wichita as one big wagon wheel - Wichita at the hub, and K96 highway nearly going full circle, and one day, supposed to be finished, and all the suburbs on a spoke).
