One chomp death.Rats are mean and fierce fighters (and DO NOT belong in your home). They carry diseases:https://www.orkin.com/pests/rodents/rats/diseases-that-are-spread-or-carried-by-ratsLet the rodent experts do their job and follow their directions. For instance if they say use covered metal cans do so, and etc...If the rats are stuck outdoors due to being sealed out, they will just be out there in the wild like squirrels.Just my 2 cents.

Are there mini-split installers in your area that can work up high on your buildings top floors. What about heat and hot water, how will that be handled. Can the buildings existing plumbing and the line(s) to the main street waste line handle the bathrooms and kitchen sinks (1952 lines might be cloggy and an endless source of complaint) have sewer scopes been done to see what they look like. Will you be required to put in fire escapes (as well as other modern fire equipment)--has that been budgeted for.Have you talked about tax abatments yet with the governing authority.Does the area show a shortage of apartments, or will it take a long time to fill units when they turn over.Hows the roof (and the real roof underneath--the wooden one), how many layers of roofing are on it, how many can be on it and still get financing.Does it have some unique history, ie. did Frank Sinatra always stay there, people think its haunted, once owned by the Beatles, etc..Who was the last Hotel Chain to Flag it and why did they shut it down (Legionaries Disease, poor economy, expensive structural issues, etc...)Just my 2 cents.

Wednesday, May 6, 2021, Judge Dabney Friedrich overturned the national eviction moratorium that the Center for Disease Control and Prevention had put in place on September 4, 2020, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. If you have been living somewhere other than “planet earth” and have no clue what a moratorium is, by definition a moratorium is a temporary prohibition of an activity.

Hello Bigger Pockets: I just read this article in the Wall Street Journal online and wondering what the thoughts are out there about this subject: Biden Asks Congress to Extend Federal Eviction Moratorium - WSJ"The Biden administration won’t move to extend a federal moratorium on the evictions of tenants who fell behind on rent in the Covid-19 pandemic in the wake of a court ruling, but it is asking Congress to authorize such an extension.President Biden would have “strongly supported” a move to further extend the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s moratorium, scheduled to expire on Saturday, but that option is no longer legally viable after a recent Supreme Court ruling, the administration said in a statement by press secretary Jen Psaki.State and local governments have struggled to distribute $47 billion in federal money aimed at helping tenants who can’t pay rent because of the pandemic-triggered downturn, leaving many people at risk of being forced out of their homes when the moratorium expires.Just $3 billion of the aid authorized by Congress in December and March had been delivered to landlords and tenants as of June 30, the Treasury Department said in a report last week.
