Investors have long known that depreciation on depreciable real estate is an economic fiction.

A possible first eviction coming up for me, had served a three day notice myself yesterday for the 10 days late rent with a fictional story for it and some undesirable living conditions.

Hi Loan,I chose my career (Computer Science) because I was fascinated by science fiction novels and a TV show from the early 60's called Star Trek.  

To me that sounds like a big if and I could see some investors getting caught up on this number as fact instead of fiction.

Rents are typically higher around here but on the flip side, the taxes and competition seem to be very high as well, specifically in the cities close to the lake (Lakewood, Rocky River, Bay Village, Westlake).

For those of us who may prefer an adult beverage while we talk RE, I checked our Sam's Boat in Silverlake Village yesterday afternoon at around 2pm and they have nice covered deck area where we can chat.

I know IB has the image of the last true sleepy southern california beach town, but this image could be negativily affecting the area as an investment opportuinity in the future.It would definitely be a longer term investment as it is not going to transition as quick as East Village did with Gas Lamp and Petco Park.
