Unless those items are all satisfied (except for housing violations and some non-monetary liens which follow the property), the department of finance will not allow the deed to pass through to the next stop in the recording process.So even if you wanted to dump a property that was totally upside down with liens to someone who was willing to take it from you, you can't do it.

The good thing is the duplex is worth almost double what we built it for and we have had good tenants on both sides ($185,000 rental income so far) except for the bed bug lady so everything has worked out ok.

He paid monthly for 14 months until he forgot a check, got hit with a late fee, then paid the remaining 10 months in one check.He moved out at the end of his lease with no issues.Of course, this is the exception, not the norm.
