There's a world of possibilities out there, and each one offers unique benefits.You might find that single-family homes are readily available and could be easier to manage or sell if the need arises.

We have much more robust capabilities in MLS that typically in most areas aren't available to the general public. 

If you haven't already, you should research the stats on Furnished Finder to see how many people are looking for a midterm rental, how many units are currently available and the configuration and prices hosts are offering.

Who gets to decide if a repair that appears to be needed is real or fictious, created to reduce the net available to the lender? 

With the market currently calm and a significant amount of inventory available, now could be a good time to buy.
