You are correct it’s a state by state thing but most states it is allowed - it also matters if it’s a primary or investmentFor example I believe Arizona you cannot get a deficiency after sale on Owner occupied but can on investment and in Texas I don’t believe you can attach to the home.Btw this is not something I typically do - but if the borrower is not going to play ball, then that’s different pretty much all west coast states you cannot get a deficiency judgement on a owner occ purchase money mortgage / deed of trust..

Someone I know is under contract on a property near the Beltline in West End.  

It seems they are remobing all the all the greenhouses and it seems that a big construction project. Any one knows are they going to build single family or apartment?

For the investors I work with, I send my flippers to certain neighborhoods (Near east side, Crown Hill, Mapleton Fall Creek) and my LTR investors to other areas (West side, Christian Park, Martindale-Brightwood) -- there are some transitional neighborhoods that work for both (Brookside, Little Flower).
