I say that because it looks rotted out and if that is the case then there is no telling how the attic is going to be and the trusses inside.

Congratulations on the Deal But I'm seeing a few red flags here.First how old is the house is southern cal. they stopped using plaster for interior finish in the early 60's but did not start using truss construction until the early 70's.

It was only the fact that I stood up for what I believe in and talked **** untill the cops got thier that those punks are off the streets today.Ya maybe I could have got beat & killed, but I did not "I would have crushed those punk *&^#@'s" I just did not want to end up in the back of the cop car as well.An officer looked at me worried he could not force me to go downtown and make a statement but he knew if I did not those punks would be back on the streets the next day.

Unless it is some type of drop ceiling, you’re likely looking at tearing off the entire roof system and trusses......very cost prohibitive.
