HELOCs are much tricker than a closed end second - they don't typically allow you to close in an LLC and they are full doc qualification, meaning your FICO, employment history, income, DTI etc all come into play.

If you own a business even if it's a pass through LLC for your real estate you have to file a BOI Report by the end of this year.BOI stands for Benefit ownership information. 

If you are running a LLC for your rentals is essential that you keep all business  funds in a separate account I like Credit  unions the best .

Given that I recently created a Series LLC here in TX, and there still doesn't appear to be straightforward options in this regard, I figured I would bring it up again. 

Watched some You tube videos about some ways, specifically creating a property LLC with WY LLC being a member manager LLC for the property LLC. 

If you have an LLC or the property is owned in a land trust the judge might decide you need an attorney.
