I have been pondering an unusual situation for a while.

I know Austin has an option period that you pay for the right to do due diligence, which is definitely unusual. 

This would be very unusual in San Antonio, but may be something that varies by market.

It may be limestone, which tends to pit and decay, but those foundations are usually 18"+ thick.

Speculation is betting on big drastic turnarounds, this is just a bet that the current trends continue, which they usually do.I don't know LA like I know the Bay Area, is there anything here shaded dark (indicating unusually high income growth) that "everyone knows" is a "rough area"? 

The average sales price region-wide was $250,000, and the average time on the market was 49 days.In May 2019, by comparison, 762 homes sold in the area with an average sales price of $258,000 after an average of 54 days on the market.Number of sales and price climbed in the Huntsville-Madison County market, Athens-Limestone County market, Marshall and Dekalb county market and the Etowah-Cherokee county market.

I have an unusual request: I have a primary residence under contract and my lender has offered to kick me $1k for a home warranty.  

A friend of thought it was unusual that the lender insisted on an inspection.

Comparing this expansion to prior expansions shows that the length of this one is not unusual.

That works out to $78.50 per month, and that's not unusual or exorbitant for combined water and sewer charges (in fact, where I live, I pay that much monthly for water only - we don't have sewer). $232 for 12 months of water would be a ridiculously low charge.
