lets say you make 10k self employment money. you will have to pay self employment tax of 15%, and also pay federal tax and any applicable state income tax.personally, I save 30-35% of my se money to pay state and federal taxes.

I have found one exactly like that up in Desert Ridge, but everything I have found here in the SE Valley has been moderated by someone with coaching or education to sell and has asked to put me on a sales prospecting list.

And while a home inspector may not be part of the "team" per se (since an inspection is usually a one-off sort of thing) you are trusting them to be your eyes and ears on the ground, and so I recommend to also find an inspector you can trust.

However, when bitten by SE taxes, ordinary income and earning enough interest that it takes away normal tax credits like child tax credits for those of us with kids at home- the intelligent investor pivots to more tax-friendly activities.Paying more taxes does not necessarily mean one is earning more money or advancing financially.
