I am jealous.My advice - find a community outside of NYC that supports your parent's native language.

I'm fluent in Finnish (native), Polish (native), English (native), Swedish (excellent), German (intermediate/good), and now studying Spanish, thanks to my Texan wife Jenny, who's family is from Mexico.EXPERIENCE & REAL ESTATE BACKGROUNDWe (my parents & I) I accidentally flipped my apt in Finland during my college years (I give all credit to Mom & Dad).

That said, I've also been told that some people don't really react to them at all, and may never realize they've been bitten.  

We're not very large and we haven't done a tone of business but we are local and our core group is comprised of true Kansas City natives. 

This site is about as public as it gets so it shines a spotlight on how owners react and respond.  

More or less when a shift or change takes place we try to react as quickly as we can.

I would have expected locations like mine to react first given the maturity of the market and having had a couple years sooner recovery compared to most places.
