There's random suburbs that are as far as 20 min from the beach that have such poorly monitored storm drains that dozens of homes in various neighborhoods flood.

I have a sound monitor going that I can check to see if things are noisy or quiet.

As Lauren mentioned, we monitor the humidity since all of ours are near the beach.The guests often turn the fan on and we turn it off remotely.  

It was very handy and comforting to know I could monitor a vacant home from 30 miles away.Unfortunately, the technology failed.

It can be connected to WiFi and monitored or controlled from anywhere.

Do you want cameras you can monitor or would your rather have an ironclad backup of footage you can access later in the event of some sort of incident?

We're not changing the lease on them (it renews May 1) for this year but we'll monitor things (like utilities which are included in the rents) and see what needs to be done for next year.
