Hi guys,My wife and I own a single family we are setting up to rent (currently live in) in SE bend near  Old Mill that we bought as an REO for $210 and should be able to rent for $1400 or so.  

@James Lapp Was looking to purchase a property in CT to house hack and I believe he may have ran into an issue purchasing a property using an OO loan because of this issue.On another note, we have a small SE CT meetup once a month to talk about real estate meeting.

I dont think any one has the statistics but I can say VERY few become as wealthy as a top flight guru mainly because the top flight guru is making money selling education not investing in real estate and make no mistake about it the top flight guru's make MILLIONS they dont need real estate per se.

My sister lives there and I'm trying to convince her to house hack a place, probably in SW/SE/Anacostia area. 

For us locally (SE MI) and using chase an "escrow" account is simply a savings account. 

I grew up in Tampa, have lived in all corners of the state, except SE FL (and no desire to). 

So what i'm saying is, it's not as valid for you to live there as it doesn't benefit you per se in Raleigh/Cary.

It doesn't have to be Milwaukee per se, but I have a relationship with a fantastic realtor there who woks with investors, and he has found some great properties.

I won't call it a crash per se...
