I assign the contract, which is legal and the seller has no say in it as long as the contract is fulfilled and the assignment isn't expressly forbidden, when I decide I want to wholesale the property.

@Matthew Trotter Purchasing a home as an owner occupant, fulfilling the residency requirements (normally 1-2 years depending on the loan) then moving out to a new house that you will owner occupy is perfectly legal.
