From what I understand my blink and amazon accounts are linked for function and while i understand the necessity for a PM to monitor security cams, and have the ability to send ekeys, i wouldn't want someone to be able to access my amazon account throught some odd way via having my Blink acc

The city doesn't proactively monitor this but when your neighbors call it in (and they will) they will crack down pretty hard.  

There are usually some good, local investors that monitor those forums.

Along with that comes the "Potential" to get maintenance'd to death, to have 2am calls about toilets, to have to actively monitor and manage the manager to press them to do their dang-job, to HOPE I make __X__ money that month, or next month.   

I have to spend a lot of time on identifying the right managers and deals, monitoring them, which isn't my idea of passive.On the plus side, if I can figure out DST 1031 and find trustworthy managers, I can rinse and repeat with my other properties with the same process. 

Mine can set door codes, message (or call) guests, schedule cleaners, adjust the thermostat, monitor my cameras, & call a plumber just as easily as a local PM can, for 1% of the costHire good cleaners, a solid handyman & befriend some helpful neighbors.

After all the role of Project manager by definition includes being responsible for monitoring, managing, controlling and closing a project.

The secret is due diligence + monitoring + diplomacy.Hope you next business partners will be better.

Do you charge for monitoring and maintaining vacant units?

I live in California so I am not able to monitor the health of the tree on a frequent basis.
