It simply says they wound up with the property through a foreclosure action.

I made the mistake of going with the first architect I found and ended up paying to much and wound up with my project going way too long.

Agents typically don't care if you financially wound yourself by doing rentals, in fact they will help you buy and sell a terrible investment so they get the money on both ends of the transaction... 

BRRR from out of state is the most high risk you can do.. and many who get hammered with it  simply don't have the stones to post about it.. they just lick there wounds and many will never do anything in real estate again.. 

If it's an absolute bust you can sell, lick your wounds and crush it with what you know now.

How will you feel when the market is crashing all around you and other investors are running to hide and lick their wounds? 

We know how hard that is to find because when we first relo-d here, we wound up renting and looking for rentals. 

Long story short, we wound up having many hours of very enjoyable discussion in their living room, at the end of which we had a win/win for everyone.

No point to drag it out as the healing process can't truly start until the wound is sealed.
