I don't know how many people tumbled out but it was...

 ; )     Brother took quite a tumble in RE in 08 maybe early 09  can't recall.

My response to that is always "well let's see if we can fix it first.Regarding the dryer, if it's running (tumbling, etc.) but not heating, then the problem is probably one of two things.

For example washers, driers, stoves, refrigerators, furnishings, etcFinancials.

There is no  house of cards here to come tumbling down.

Much like Sept.11, People stopped flying, tourism tumbled, Corporate Welfare bailouts, trickle down to car rental, hotels, vacation rental, ect... 

We fell, horse on asfalt My on the horse and we tumbled down the road with speeding cars.

I'm not an economic expert, but so far I haven't seen a compelling set of cause-effect relationships within housing that I believe could cause prices to rapidly tumble.  

Today water is becoming scarce and climate change is expected to make the Colorado river basin even drier... just look at Lake Mead/Lake Powell water levels over the years it is actually pretty scary.

I think it's more strategic and not necessarily going to cause a tumbling housing market.
