While this is a great and highly motivating goal, most people are either clueless or incorrect in their belief as to what is required to obtain this “lifestyle”.Understanding of the “how to” get there is further obscured by the misleading, and often patently false “pathways” sold by real estate educational MARKETING companies as workshops, upsold to association memberships, upsold to mentorships.

If I didn't have two amazing biz partners, I would have already likely sold it. 

I haven't sold yet, I've been analyzing property to get a head start on the 45-day timeline of identifying the potential replacement property (and because I enjoy analyzing property). 

To summarize, what I have seen is a possibly poorly conceived investment possibly sold to people who are not sophisticated.  

when you say "being sold" do you mean the minimum bid amount or the actual sales amount? 

The houses are sold very cheap, however to fix them up, you are usually investing about $30k-$100k to make them livable. 

The problem is so far almost every fixer I've sold has sold for literally hundreds of thousands of dollars more than if I were to sell to a flipper.
