Thicker paints require more power and will put much more wear and tear on the unit.As far as interiors, I only spray ceilings now when we are going to do all of them at once, even with that we always have someone come directly behind backrolling which stops any striping. 

Hang around the business world a bit longer, you'll find that gurus, scammers, unethical types come in all stripes, what one preaches and teaches, what they do will gain my respect much quicker than degrees on the wall, Phi Kappa Phi memberships framed or calling themselves something.

The striping is interesting to me in the staining- could that be stuff leaking down the front off a specific point?
