These are just a few basic things I'd look for.In reference to the agent, you definitely want to find the investor focused agents that does a lot of deals and lean on them for their expertise.

It's a risk-reward proposition and for us here in Columbus, I see a lot of saturation with STR, but we have very high demand for MTR so most of the properties in our portfolio wind up being mid terms.

If so you need to find out if you don't already have that expertise as to who will lend to them, what their requirements will be, and what kind of leverage they can expect, and what the fees will be.
