Is there a way to passively track mortgage rates on 5+ residential apartment buildings?   

Additional costs will creep in and costs seem to go up faster than rents, so I would sell and try to otherwise optimize the VA loan. 

We are asking the current tenants to leave as the property is not in optimal condition we like to have our rentals and we would like to fix it up to increase value and rents.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to purchase that piece of land but this one still made sense to purchase.

Would need to know about locations of your buildings and current rents to see if there is anything that can be done now to get numbers a bit better.

In a suburban area, typically a 1 mile radius is the benchmark and you need a good reason to go out farther.
