A full frame camera like the Canon EOS 5DS or the Nikon D5 will mimic the old 35mm size and a 16mm lens will look just as wide (extremely wide IMHO) on any camera with a full frame sensor or a 35mm film SLR. 

I live in Brooklyn, NY and been working in film/tv production the past 15 years.

(I'd love to get off the conventional mortgage shnide altogether)Let me preface by saying that I work in film production which is a very time consuming job with 12-14 hour days 5 days a week, usually in remote locations, so I'm not doing a lot of driving for dollars..Some ideas I've been kicking around are:1. 

I'm an LA native relocating to ATL sometime next year because of my husband's work (sculptor for the film industry).

As for viewing properties, you could post an ad on Craigslist for someone to view/film the property and pay them $10-$50 bucks.
