Have you considered using a property management company?

I got the Discover It Secured card in high school and used that to build up my credit. 

I do all accounting for properties and company in Rent Manager. 

It took some digging, working closely with a title company, and negotiating with multiple parties to get it resolved, but in the end, it was a great learning experience—and a successful deal!
