My wife and I decided we will make that final decision on our cruise to Bahamas end of the month.

And I also agree that in such a market, especially for the colder months, your place has to be a destination in and of itself, meaning special/stand-out, meaning you need views and yet an easy road, etc.

Tampa and area is a fantastic opportunity to invest in, there is massive growth coupled with being a tremendous vacationing destination the projections for future growth are very promising.That being said if you are only here 4 months of the year you are obviously looking at short term. 

There are four hospitals in the area, two of which are located in Walnut Creek, so it's definitely worth considering.As for short-term rentals (STRs), I'm not entirely sure how strong the market is in Walnut Creek, since it's not a hugely popular tourist destination.
