Hi @Josie Stephens - I have been listening to the Rent to Retirement podcast recently and they have a big presence in the Akron market and I even saw some of the renovations on those properties and they are turnkey ready.

But through all the fuss of EXP, and iBuyers still most transactions are done through referrals and face to face meetings and having a real physical presence anchors you to the community and the customers.

I am not an investor yet, but by my presence here you can see I am working on it :)

Realize that you WILL need boots on the ground at some point, whether it is for showings, or to follow up on a repair, or to conduct turnover or to carry out an eviction, or maintain a 'presence' with tenants through inspections and other instances.

Single family home in a town with 110,000 population (Texas town) Military base presence with a Public University.

Outside of that, the Waynesboro/Greencastle area is solid but the population and job markets is much lower than that of Hagerstown/Washington County.Thurmont is more backwoods and there are rumors that there is a strong racist group presence in the area (just rumors though).

I've seen many agents brand their names (johnsmithrealtor.com), but I suppose my preference is to keep my company name and logo (since my website and social media presence are all done).

Marcus and Millichap is a good one to start out with, they have a strong national presence.

As for the URL that I use for my lead generation presence online would you recommend using a mycompanyname . com  or an ibuyhouses . com URL?
