Once you are affiliated with a brokerage, you'll likely get access to the MLS through your broker.I'm not familiar with CA specifically, but this is how it typically works...

In this case, how do you go about keeping your affiliation with your broker, after you decided that fulfilling their hourly requirements is not in your best interest any more (i.e. you want to focus on investing only, but still keep your affiliation active)?

Real estate agents say they know this and that person but their job is to sell the house, and they are affiliates and not your partners.
