I am too old now and I have a few development tracks that will ripen over the years that I will leave as legacies to my Grandkids and great grandkids. But if I was in my 20s or early 30's I would include a nice NW timber track in my portfolio..not only that you can camp on them hunt fish etc.. if there large enough you can put a cabin and now a days with the container homes you buy one of those and lock and leave. There is a reason they were called Timber Barrons.. !!!

They are to: 1) develop relationships with 3-5 investors in the area that I can learn from, and 2) save up $7500 to put towards a down payment for my first sfr house hack.I'm not posting this fishing for responses that justify my decision, but rather to get perspectives from any of you who might have had similar experiences or have their own opinions on my situation that can help me see things differently. If there are any investors in the 417 who happen to come across this, I'd love to get the opportunity to connect with you!

Hiking trails with waterfalls, sandy beaches with fresh water to play in, miles of untouched shoreline in beautiful parks, oceans and razor clamming, skiing in winter, fishing, casinos, Seattle, a zillion wonderful micro-brewers, wineries ... we would ski in the morning, drive down the mountain and take our dog to the beach on the river and play in the sun all afternoon.
