To me this sounds like an incredible opportunity with tremendous negotiating potential.

As long as you don't let the discussion escalate, you're likely to benefit from it, no matter the course it takes.

If they decline or do not respond (in 3 days I think) you have the option to escalate. 

Were it me, I'd start with just a legal-ezee sounding "cease and desist" letter, nicely requesting they adjust their camera on the basis of privacy concerns, and I'd be keeping all documentation in case it escalates.

Finding a good partner/mentor can help you a lot by cutting your learning curve tremendously.

Rents have increased tremendously since our area got hit by Hurricane Michael, we had a vast shortage of rental properties, and prices went way up! 

Our area is experiencing tremendous growth & plenty of opportunity here for investing depending on what you decide.

So as long as they are thinking rationally, both parties have an interest in working this out..The way to escalate is usually to go to their broker, if that does not work file a complaint with their state board.
