In a thriving market which currently is across the nation you can refi out of your FHA loan within a few years and avoid anymore PMI .Disadvantage is rates will no doubt be higher, which simply means you will have to do a cost analysis PMI payment vs higher rate.

And no green house gas.now granted you have to make the power but we get a lot of ours from Hydro.What I have seen in the Mediterranean is every home has a BLACK hot water heater on the roof.. no need to power it for hot water.. we should do that in our desert areas.. of course in cheaper areas they may get stolen like condenser units do.
